Olsen Twins Not Returning For Full House Sequel

It’s official, the Olsen twins will not make an appearance on the sequel Fuller House. Although 80’s babies hoped the rumors weren’t true, Lori Loughlin or who many of us consider, Aunt Becky, confirmed the devastating news to Huffington Post. What a bummer!

Loughlin revealed that the cast finished filming the first season and neither Mary Kate or Ashley Olsen ever appeared on set to at least make a cameo appearance. So it looks like we’re definitely going to be one Tanner short.

Back in October on Watch What Happens Live, John Stamos hinted at the unlikelihood of the twins returning to TV for the Full House spinoff saying,” I called them up, asked them to do it. They’re onto a different phase of their lives, they haven’t acted in a long time, but everything is super sweet between us.”

Luckily, the other original cast members will star in the reboot which centers around Candace Cameron Bure’s character of D.J. Tanner-Fuller. The oldest Tanner sister will play a widow raising three children with the help of her sister Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and BFF Kimmy Gibbler (Andrea Barber). The beloved family comedy is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2016 with 13 original episodes. We’ll be watching! How about you?
