Singer/actress Madison Beer showed up in a stunning beige gown fit for a princess last night at the amfAR New York 2017 gala event. The Justin Bieber protégé was a vision of pure sophistication as she waltzed down the red carpet to multiple cameras flashing. In 2012, Madison’s cover of Etta James’ At Last attracted the attention of global superstar Justin Bieber, who shared the video on Twitter with his legions of fans. A star was born. “The fact that he gave me a chance – I can’t express how that feels,” said the young singer. Madison says she has been singing “since she was in the womb.” The event honored Italian fashion designer Donatella Versace and actress Scarlett Johansson for their longtime support in the organization. On the podium, shoe designer Kenneth Cole reminded the audience of amfAR’s recently launched Countdown Initiative that was first introduced last year by Harry Belafonte. “To date, with your help, amfAR has awarded 36 Countdown grants totaling $36 million to support research conducted by 155 scientists working at 55 institutions around the globe,” he proudly announced.
