How to get a Facelift without Surgery
Posted On Apr 25, 2016
I’m only in my twenties, but I’m already dreading the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on my face. Call me a drama queen, but knowing that all my years of building my skincare collection and tirelessly trying new products to keep my skin radiant could all go down the drain as I get older scares me.
What If I told you it didn’t have to? Many women have spent thousands of dollars on cosmetic surgeries in an effort to look youthful for as long as possible, but that’s not the only solution.
Nationally renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Anthony Youn, gave his take on the steps to healthier and flawless looking skin as we age.
“I’m convinced that aging gracefully is about eating healthily, living the right lifestyle (avoiding the sun, cigarettes, and alcohol, and managing your stress to relax worry lines), and taking great care of your skin,” he said in an article he wrote for the Daily Mail.
He went on to share some easy and quick ways to tighten and rejuvenate your skin by simply using ingredients you already have at home.
Ingredients: Peppermint, Cayenne Pepper, and Vaseline.
Directions: Mix a drop of peppermint extract, a pinch of cayenne pepper, and a teaspoon of Vaseline, and place on your lips. The burning sensation will draw blood to your lips which will then lead to plumping.

Ingredients: Homemade Mayonnaise
Directions: Place a small amount of mayo around your eyes, and wash off after 30 minutes. Make sure to follow up with your usual moisturizer.
Why? Because laughing lines just aren’t that cute.
Ingredients: Olive Oil & Coffee Grounds
Directions: Combine three tablespoons of coffee grounds with two teaspoons of olive oil. After getting a paste-like consistency, rub the mixture into your skin and wash off after about five minutes. While the coffee is good for tightening and exfoliating your skin, the olive works to replenish the moisture.
Ingredients: Orange Juice, Lemon Juice, and Unsweetened Yogurt
Directions: Mix three tablespoons of orange juice and two tablespoons of lemon juice with 200 ml of unsweetened yogurt. Place the mixture on your face and let it dry on your skin for about 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. This is a great alternative to paying top dollar for face scrubs.
