Pumpkin Facial: DIY Beauty Mask

There is a good chance that with Fall came the invasion of all that is pumpkin. From pumpkin soup at the dinner table to a pumpkin spice latte during lunch break, pumpkin is the Queen of Fall. However, this delicious fruit is full of goodness for your skin.

Pumpkins hydrate and rejuvenate the skin.  Pumpkins contain vitamins C, K, and E, and minerals, including magnesium, potassium, and iron. According to primallyinspired.com, the Zinc, Vitamins C, K, and E present in pumpkins, reduce inflammation, minimize pore size, control excess oil and prevent the appearance of pimples, blackheads and blemishes. This DIY pumpkin mask will leave your dermis looking flawless and it only requires 3 ingredients:

½ cup pure pumpkin puree

¼ plain Greek yogurt

1 tsp. cinnamon

To make:

  1. Combine all 3 ingredients in a bowl until well blended.
  2. Smooth a generous amount over face and let it sit for 15-20 minutes or until the mask dries completely.
  3. Place the remaining mixture in an airtight container and refrigerate. This recipe makes enough for 3-4 masks.
  4. Use once or twice a week.
