Eggs promote weight loss

Eggs have long been demonized as the evil cause of high cholesterol and weight gain, yet they hold have a prominent place on the Food Guide Pyramid. In truth, eggs are known to satisfy hunger longer and promote a proper diet. A study published in the British Medical Journal found that the cholesterol in the eggs does not necessarily raise cholesterol in the blood, and can even be seen as an effective diet tool. A second study from the International Journal of Obesity concluded that eating eggs for breakfast promotes weight loss, especially when compared to bagels or cereal.
