Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Brings the Tunes

The 48th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction and Awards ceremony brought out Hollywood’s most talented lyricists and performers for a night of songs, moves, and beats. Everything from Alan Menken’s classic music from Beauty and the Beast to Pitbull’s club anthems filled the air and had guests tapping their feet. Other performers included Jon Bon Jovi, Pat Monahan, Robert Lamm and James Pankow, Johnny Gill, Ed Sheeran, Rhonda Ross Kendrick, Usher, and Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. In addition to performances, awards were presented to some of music’s elite. Caroline Bienstock received the Abe Oleman Publisher Award, Alan Menken received the Johnny Mercer Award, Ed Sheeran received the Hal David Straight Award, and Pitbull received the Global Ambassador Award.
