While football fans are anxiously waiting for the first kick off of the season, they may be surprised to learn that their favorite team can cause sudden weight gain. A study from the INSEAD Business School analyzed food consumption of NFL fans every Monday over two seasons. The study found that when fans watched their team lose they ate 16% more saturated fat. The study showed that the fans ate even more especially when they lost to a rival team or by a narrow margin. If you need to munch when you’re angry, be sure to surround your football nights with healthier foods to help curb your caloric intake
