10 Essential Items You Need to be Stylish This Summer

Every summer I ask myself the question of how to up my game to steal looks at the beach, and I bet you too!

Every year fashion brands fight it out to create the winning item that everyone would love to sport during summer. This year, I bring you a list of the top ten items you’ll need to feel like the queen of the beach or pool.

Black One-Piece Swimsuit

The one-piece trend is rising, and you don’t want to fall behind. Go with a classic black one-piece swimsuit. Black will not only slim your figure but after the cold, snowy winter, black will suit your pale skin better than any other color.

Straw Floppy Hat

You don’t want to end up looking like the Snapchat tomato filter, instead, cover your face in a very stylish way with a floppy hat. Choose one in a tan shade that will suit any style you choose for a day out in the sun.

Statement Sunglasses

Pair your floppy hat with a pair of big statement sunglasses to complete your Audrey Hepburn look. Sunglasses and hats never looked better!

Denim Everything!

We have mentioned numerous times before that denim will be huge during summer. Get a full denim look to be on-trend at all the summer parties! To avoid suffocating with the heaviness of denim during hot days, I suggest you look for items with the lighter chambray fabric, which still has the denim look.

Belled Beachwear

Bell sleeves and bell bottoms are back! Add them to the list of trends that you should implement in your wardrobe. Go for a bell sleeve dress for a day at the beach, or bell bottom pants for a stroll during sunset.

Lace-up Sandals

Tassel and lace-up sandals, this is a trend that is making a way into my heart! I am obsessed with Aquazzura’s sandals for a night out. For something more comfortable for the daytime, you can opt for some flat gladiator sandals.

Stripes

Stripes might be hard to wear, but it all depends on the direction of the lines. If you have a voluptuous figure, go with vertical stripes; they will slim down your body instead of making you look bigger. If you want more curves, but genes didn’t do the trick, go with horizontal stripes; they will make you look curvier.

Summer Blues

Blue was named the color of the season. Try very bold and bright blue nail polish, make a statement with Butler Please by Essie or go more dark-electric with Midnight Cami by Essie.

Pop of Color Lips

Just like with nail polish, make head turns with bright, bold, and neon lip colors. You can go for red, hot pink, or even a funky neon color like orange or blue.

Last but not least: SUNSCREEN

The secret to beautiful, glowy skin is to actually take care of it. Apply sunscreen every day before stepping out to the sun. Even though it is recommended to receive natural sunlight, remember that during summer the sun is stronger. So protect your skin from the dangerous UV rays and apply sunscreen.

PRO-TIP: After a day at the beach, apply baby oil while showering to keep your fresh tan from fading.
