LAX Building New Terminal For Rich And Famous

Breaking news for the rich and famous! Celebs and those who have the coins to spend between $1,500 and $1,800 per flight will be happy to know the world famous Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is in the process of building an exclusive terminal. As many of us experience the typical travel blues, the elite class will have access to their very own security lines and lounge while avoiding the infamous paparazzi and of course, the regular folks such as you and I.
Wealthy travelers maybe pleased to hear of the future plans but celebrity photographers such as Giles Harrison have a different opinion.
In an open Facebook discussion, members of the paparazzi expressed their disdain for the new structure, “Basically they were saying they could kiss their opportunity for getting pictures at the airport goodbye. I don’t wholeheartedly agree with that, but it will certainly make getting photos at LAX of celebrities who don’t want their photos taken a lot more difficult,” said Harrison.
The concept is molded after a terminal in London that solely caters to the royal family. When asked if the plan will be funded with taxpayer dollars, the Managing Director of Public Relations for Los Angeles World Airports, Mary Grady said Gavin de Becker and Associates, a private security firm will not only build the terminal but fund the project as well.
Grady also stressed that the latest venture was not limited to just celebrities, “Anybody can use the terminal. The fees will be set by Gavin de Becker and Associates. It’s not just for celebrities. It’s really for anybody who would be willing to pay the price that they set.”
The projected yearly revenue expected specifically from this is $3.7 million a year. Grady insists the money will be aggregated to make various improvements throughout other parts of LAX that are not as exclusive.
