The “Work” singer announced Friday that she and shoe giant Manolo Blahnik are going into business together, launching a sultry heels line called Denim Desserts, New You has learned.
The denim-inspired line is set to be released Thursday, May 5, 2016 and will feature seven bold, limited-edition options.
“Those boots are dangerous!” Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, said about the so-called “9 to 5” boot. “If you’re trying to get back home to your bed, don’t wear them boots!”
The “Anti” singer added that the “9 to 5” boot will have women “kidnapped” due to their sultry style that will, without a doubt, be “trouble.”
This is not the first time Rihanna shows off her fashion and entrepreneurial chops. The singer/actress also has a sneaker line with Puma, two fragrances (RiRi and Reb’l Fleur), and was awarded the Style Icon Award by Fashion mogul Anna Wintour back in June 2014.
Manolo Blahnik is delighted to be added to Rihanna’s resume and to be collaborating with the Barbados-born singer.
“Rihanna was a collaboration we were really excited about,” said Kristina Blahnk, CEO of the popular show line. “We firmly believed the two of them working hand-in-hand, together with their creativity, would achieve something totally unique and very special.”
The collection, originally inspired by Riri’s many tattoos, is already selling in stores in London, New York, and Hong Kong.
Besides the ‘9 to 5’ boot, other styles include the “Sea Salt” shoe, which is a pointy-toe pump, the “Rih-vi’s, which is a denim sandal while the “Dancehall Cowgirl” is a lace-up stiletto.
