A Look At Adele’s 25
Posted On Nov 20, 2015
Leave it to British songstress Adele to have everyone stop dead in their tracks and take great pleasure in listening to the authoritative tunes of her third musical project, 25. With the birth of her son and new found love, Simon Konecki, the album reflects a sense of maturity and emotional growth.
According to Entertainment Weekly it is, “A record that feels both new and familiar–a beautiful if safe collection of panoramic ballads and prettily executed detours…. Her voice is a national monument, a ninth wonder; whatever she chooses to wrap it around is transformed and taken over.”
The song Sweetest Devotion closes out the album and we must say it is the perfect tribute to the evolution of love. She sings over a melodic groove, “I’ve been looking for you, baby/ In every face that I’ve ever known/ And there is something ’bout the way you love me/ That finally feels like home.”
Although the album sticks to the piano ballad formula, it skillfully delivers timeless classics with a soulful embodiment from beginning to end. 25 offers the legions of fans exactly what they have been yearning for from the vocalist these last four years. If you haven’t picked up your copy of the new album, then what are you waiting on! We promise you one listen and you will be hooked. Are you ready for the Adele takeover?
