And the Award for Best Dressed Goes To….
Posted On Feb 01, 2016
This weekend was the 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards where your favorite celebrities swarmed the red carpet looking as fabulous as ever. Idris Elba won big times two for Beasts of No Nation and Luther, Leo snagged yet another award for the Revenant, and Spotlight won for best cast performance. All well deserved, but who took home the award for best dressed? See our list of SAG beauties below.
Viola Davis, Anna Farris, Kate Winslet
All three of these beauties looked simply amazing last night. They kept it simple with no patterns or designs and channeled a perfectly classy look- like the classic beauties that they are. Viola Davis even took home the award for “outstanding female performance” in How to Get Away With Murder. Her outfit was just as outstanding as her performance.
Alicia Vikander, Helen Mirren, Eva Longoria
The Danish Girl star, Alicia Vikander stole the show in her sequined color-blocked Louie Vuitton dress. She won the award for “outstanding female supporting role,” while her dress most definitely played a leading role in red carpet fashion. I will dream of this dress in my sleep tonight. Helen Mirren also showed up in a shimmery silver gown to match her ivory skin and graciously white locks. Eva Longoria took the hunter green route, which looked phenomenal with her skin tone.
Emilia Clarke, Marisa Tomei, Kimiko Glenn
Game of Thrones star took a break from her GOT character and channeled her inner girly-girl with a hot pink A-line dress showing off major cleavage. Marisa Tomei also rocked some major décolletage in her sparkling blue-green dress. OITNB star, Kimiko Glenn also looked amazing out of her orange prison suit. We didn’t know all that cleavage was there, but she rocks it effortlessly. P.S. she’s wearing a cape.
Rachel McAdams, Kiernan Shipka, Naomi Watts
Rachel McAdams stole the spotlight in her black sheer floral gown by Elie Saab. She dressed like a winner and was treated like one when Spotlight won for “outstanding performance by a cast.” Remember little Sally Draper from Mad Men? Well, she grew into a beautiful little fashionista. Her strapless blue floral gown is absolutely amazing. Naomi Watts also rocked a blue floral little number, that accentuates her platinum blonde bob and blue eyes.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Jacob Tremblay, Joe Manganiello
Although the black tux and bowtie combo is a staple for men’s award show fashion, these dudes are the reason we can’t help but love it. Leonardo DiCaprio, that’s all we have to say. No complete thought needed with this one, except for maybe who is going to come along and lock this handsome bachelor down. Jacob Tremblay, our favorite little boy prodigy is also killing the suit game, as well as nailing the smize. Newlywed, Joe Manganiello cleans up very nice in his slim-fitting suit. Sofia Vergara is one lucky gal.
