Art Basel’s Wine And Grind Premier Party Recap
Posted On Dec 07, 2015
Art Basel is one of the annual premier events that take place in Miami, Florida. Year after year, curators, notable elites, art enthusiasts, luminaries, musicians and athletes travel near and far to attend the festivities. If you weren’t in attendance at the Wine and Grind party on Friday night, you definitely missed out on a night to remember. Coined as one of the hottest tickets in town, Jack Shainman and Saint Heron teamed up to host the ultimate nightlife experience at the Surfcomber Hotel.
Guests were treated to a surprise performance by the First Lady of Ruff Ryders, rapper Eve. The night also hosted musical performances by DJ Mannie Fresh and DJ Kindness, along with lending their talents on the 1’s and 2’s. In attendance at the star-studded event were actress Jemima Kirke, model Shaun Ross, and Ty Hunter, longtime family friend and personal stylist to the dynamic songstress Beyoncé.
A little background about the collaborators of the event. Jack Shainman is one half founder of the Jack Shainman Gallery alongside Claude Simard, who unfortunately passed away late last year. The gallery was founded in 1984 in the District of Columbia and has been known to host some of the art world’s top-tier exhibits. Solange Knowles is the powerhouse behind the cultural phenomenon of Saint Heron, a platform that redefines the status quo by sparking intellectual conversations surrounding the diversity, evolution and innovation within art and entertainment.
New You was in attendance at this exclusive, invite only event. We had the opportunity to mix, mingle, and dance the night away. At one point, Solange Knowles even joined party goers on the dance floor! It definitely doesn’t get any better than that, wouldn’t you agree? After the soiree wrapped, we were scratching our heads and wondering, can there be a part II?
