Last night Bulgari held it’s 40th anniversary in the watch making business at Bulgari Fifth Avenue in New York City. The brand has been around well into the 1920’s but had not been recognized for their specialty gem until the creation of the Bulgari Roma watch in 1975. The creation of this model marked a turning point in watchmaking trends at that time. The House of Bulgari was the first to engrave its name on the face of a watch. Fast forward to 2015 and it is now rare to see a designer watch without the brand name engraved. Bulgari is clearly the original trend setter. We can’t wait to see what is in store over the next 40 years for this timeless (pun intended) brand.
