Confirmed: Charlie Sheen HIV Positive
Posted On Nov 16, 2015
From rumor to truth, Charlie Sheen is the celebrity who has just confirmed he is HIV positive. People.com has reported, he will be going on NBC’s Today Show tomorrow morning to discuss the very personal and sensitive diagnosis.
According to People.com: Top Hollywood publicist and crisis manager Howard Bragman was approached by those close to Sheen six months ago to deal with the crisis, but never dealt with him directly. “The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about a fear of litigation from former sexual partners. You don’t take that lightly.”
Bragman says he was informed that Sheen “is getting treatment, and a lot of people in his life know about it.” He goes on to say, “It’s been going on for quite awhile. He’s not necessarily comfortable talking about it. It was very hard to get up the courage for him to talk about it.”
The actor, 50, has long struggled with substance abuse and has admitted to soliciting prostitutes in the past.
TMZ has also confirmed: NBC’s “Today” Show … Sheen will sit down with Matt Lauer on Tuesday morning to make the announcement.
This might be freeing for the former Two and A Half Men star or drive a wedge between him and the world. Whatever the public arena may say, we wish him luck with tomorrows announcement.
