The host of the 2016 Oscars, Chris Rock, used his Oscars platform to help his daughters sell girl scout cookies. The stars supported in droves. Many A-listers quickly jumped at the opportunity to support and bought cookies. Stars like Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling, Michael Keaton, and Kate Winslet all bought baked delights from Rock’s daughters. Rock helped his daughters raise a whopping $65,243 for the greater Los Angeles troop. That’s over 13,000 boxes sold. Even Vice President Joe Biden gave Rock $20 bucks to support the Girl Scout’s troop. The Girl Scouts tweeted, “Girl Scout cookies being sold live on tv at the Academy Awards! Awesome! #cookieboss” All proceeds will stay with the Girl’s Troop Council and be used to benefit their community.
