DSTRONG: Dorian Murray Dies of Terminal Cancer
Posted On Mar 11, 2016
Dorian Murray, the Rhode Island boy who was diagnosed with an uncommon type of cancer and wanted to be famous “on the bridge of China,” lost his fight to the rare disease on Tuesday night. He was eight.
Murray, who was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma at the tender age of four, had the support of thousands on social media—particularly Hollywood A-listers such as Justin Bieber, Viola Davis, Nikki Reed, Conan O’Brien, and Ian Somerhalder.
Murray’s parents never lost the will to fight for their son. Just hours before he died, Murray’s parents had launched a fund in his honor.
According to the Associated Press, Murray also wanted to spend his last days alive in Walt Disney World, and fortunately, his wish was granted before his passing. He also had the opportunity to meet New England Patriots tight end, Rob Gronkowski.
The 8-year-old took social media by storm a few weeks back as thousands of people worldwide shared the “DSTRONG” hashtag to show their support.
