Future Throws a Major Jab at Ciara’s Career
Posted On Apr 14, 2016
Not these two… again! Rapper Future and singer Ciara are at it once more with legal proceedings, court drama, and a messy public war. Although both parties have seemingly moved on, Ciara with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Future with a host of secret rendezvous, the battle of the exes between these former lovebirds is a constant cycle that is always on and poppin’.
This time it is Future who is striking back in a major way! Within his latest countersuit, the Where Ya At musician filed a $15 million defamation lawsuit against his estranged ex-fiancé. He claimed, there is absolutely no way he could possibly be responsible for ruining Ciara’s career and polished rep.
In his opinion although she has a “reasonably large,” fan base her latest piece of work, Jackie was a definite “flop.” Ouch! To add more insult to injury, he further went on record to state that she has not won an award of any sort since 2013.
Let’s backtrack for a quick minute. In the original claim, the 30-year-old singer [Ciara] stated Future has continuously made unflattering and dishonest comments about her via social media, within his music, and in numerous interviews. In response to those claims, Future insists he has also been criticized a great deal within the media by the songstress. The plot continues to thicken as Future also stated that Ciara has not allowed him to see their one-year-old son, Future Jr.
Argh, doesn’t this seem like a never-ending winding road that does not plan on stopping anytime soon?
In the court of public opinion, some have stated this is just a case of the bitter Betty blues between two scorned lovers and others have insinuated there is more to the story than meets the public eye. We are not sure about this one but as long as baby Future is happy, we’re happy! Oh, and congrats Ciara on your recent engagement, Wilson is a very lucky man.
