Get to Know the Cast of DWTS 22
Posted On Mar 21, 2016
Let the sequins fly! We are back for some major celebrity waltzing with your favorite dance crew for a new season of Dancing With the Stars. Host Tom Bergeron, co-host Erin Andrews, 12 new celebrities, and 12 pro dancers are all ready for tonight’s premiere of Season 22.
The latest celeb squad is ready to foxtrot across the dance floor and into our hearts. In case you missed it, here is a recap of the latest (and hottest) DWTS cast:
Wanya Morris, 42, has the soul and the blues but does he have the moves? One of our long lost loves from Boyz II Men is rearing up for another shot in the spotlight.
Mischa Barton, 30, is an actress best known as our favorite California bad girl on The O.C. I’m sure her pro partner Artem Chigvintsev, will have no problems cozying up on the dance floor with our gorgeous Mischa.
Nyle Marco, 26, is the winner of Cycle 22 of America’s Next Top Model. He is also an activist for the deaf, having been deaf since birth. His dance partner, Peta Murgatroyd, is learning American Sign Language to better communicate with Nyle! Awesome partner.
Antonio Brown, 27, is a wide receiver with the Pittsburgh Steelers and is one of three NFL players on the show this season.
Kim Fields, 46, known best for playing cutie Tootie Ramsey on the Facts of Life, Regine Hunter on Living Single and is currently on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Jodie Sweetin, 34, a.k.a. Stephanie Tanner from Full House… I mean Fuller House. From what we’ve seen of her younger days, we know she can do a mean hula hoop.
Doug Flutie, 53, is an NFL Hall-of-Famer, sportscaster for NBC, and has partnered up with beauty Karina Smirnoff to compete for the coveted mirror ball trophy.
Marla Maples, 52, is no stranger to the stage having been on Broadway and a veteran host of sensations such as The Miss U.S.A. and The Miss Universe Pageant. Another fun little tidbit is her baby mama status with Presidential front runner Donald Trump (married 1993-99).
Von Miller, 26, is the tall glass of water and linebacker with the Denver Broncos, who snagged the MVP award of Super Bowl 50. We love the football players on DWTS… bring it Von!
Geraldo Rivera, 72, needs no introduction. I just hope the Fox News correspondent and investigative reporter has what it takes to foxtrot with the big guys. If anyone can do it, Geraldo can.
Paige Vanzant, 21, also known as Paige “12 Gauge” VanZant is the youngest and one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. I wonder if her pro partner, Mark Ballas, can knock out the competition with their moves on the dance floor.
Ginger Zee, 35, is the weather anchor on ABC’s Good Morning America. We have a meteorologist people! There just isn’t a show without one.
ABC reports, the most noticeable change is in those seated at the judges’ table. Julianne Hough is no longer a judge, deciding to pursue other interests, but beloved head judge, Len Goodman, is returning after a season’s absence. Judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli will also be back this season, beginning 8-10 p.m. Monday, March 21, on ABC.
PREDICTION: It’ll come down to one of the football players and the UFC fighter. The athletes usually have the best track record.
