The Thirteenth Annual Global Green Pre-Oscar’s party welcomes celebrities, politicians and green business leaders onto an actual ‘green’ red carpet. With a spotlight on sustainability, stars and key figures came together to celebrate the most impressive green projects run by businesses and organizations around the world.
Pop star Charlie Puth was excited to be the opening act for his idol Steve Wonder and talks about his green habits, “For me, this is exciting because I just moved into a house, I’m a home owner now where every Friday the recycle truck comes. I used to be laze fair about where I put the different compost items but now, I’m turning and new leaf and putting everything in its appropriate places.”
As a chart topping artist, Charlie also spoke about his rise to fame and how it has affected his life. “When I moved out to LA, I had nothing, I didn’t have a dollar in my pocket. A year later, it’s amazing and I want to maintain that humility.” Well his humble heart does come through in his music because everyone feels it when he gets on the piano and sings the hit, “See You Again”.
The legendary musician Stevie Wonder spoke passionately about Global Green and what sustainability means to him, “It’s about the perpetuation of life. We can not live unless we take care of our planet. Those that are not concerned that our weather is changing drastically, it’s really hot, it’s really cold and it’s a frightening thing. So for people who don’t understand the importance of being part of the perpetuation of life, they are out of their minds.”
“I am in full support of Global Green’s concept and efforts in making our Earth and urban areas greener and more sustainable,” and what a wonderful cause it is Stevie Wonder!
Modern Family star Ed O’Neill arrived at the event with his wife in an electric car as they are both big supporters of Global Greens efforts. Check out more celebrities strut their stuff on the green carpet at the Global Green 13th Annual Pre-Oscar’s party . . .
