The 2016 Grammy Nominations are HERE!

Although the musical magic won’t start until February, we have the nominations for the 58th Grammy Awards. Alicia Keys, a 15-time Grammy Award winning songstress, announced on CBS This Morning, the musicians competing in the top four categories: Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best New Artist.

A top contender is Taylor Swift, the only artist to have nominations in all three major categories – Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Record of the Year. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack this year though with eleven total nominations.

I personally can’t wait to see if Nicki Minaj will finally get a win with The Pinkprint over Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Dr. Dre and J. Cole. That’s a toughie!

And my girl Kelly Clarkson is on the scene with a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album for Piece by Piece. Although her competition is tight with the likes of Mark Ronson (Uptown Special), Taylor Swift (1989) and Florence + The Machine (How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful), but she’s got my vote!

A full list of nominations for the 2016 Grammy’s can be found on Grammy.com.  The Grammys return to L.A.’s Staples Center on Feb. 15, 2016, and will be broadcast on CBS from 8–11:30 p.m. ET. No host has been announced yet… might I suggest a revival of the J-Lo AMA hosting fabulousness for the 2016 Grammy’s please!
