Now that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton recorded their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” it’s safe to say they make sweet music together. But when the 46-year-old sat down with Chelsea Handler on her Netflix talk show, she revealed how it all came to be. She said Blake had written a song and sent it to her on her phone. Her initial reaction was one of concern because what if she didn’t like it? But of course she listened to it and loved it. And she told Blake to write the rest of it, and of course he did. Gwen also mentioned that Blake had presented her with the opportunity to co-write the tune when she wasn’t feeling the most confident about herself, a time Gwen says she was insecure. Those are the same feelings Blake had early on as they started dating, noting they both had trust issues but they were getting over them. So they wrote a song about it and it’s perfect!
