Hocus Pocus Vanishes

All of our hopes and dreams were quickly shattered to pieces during a recent Facebook Q&A with Bette Midler. According to Midler, a sequel to Disney’s 1993 movie flick, “Hocus Pocus,” is not making a comeback as many of us were led to believe. Responding to the recent rumors swirling the Internet, the multi-faceted entertainer stated, “After all these years and all the fan demand, I do believe I can stand and firmly say an unequivocal no.”
We’re not exactly sure what happened to the once promising cult classic revival. Just one year ago the singer-actress was on board to remake the film, coaxing fans to reach out to Disney in an attempt to get the ball rolling. During this time, she also mentioned, they were having trouble finding the perfect virgin, which caused a severe delay. Not to mention co-stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy have always offered up their unwavering support.
It’s been more than 20 years since the movie’s original release date and it looks like we will have to wait another two decades before we witness the resurrection of the Sanderson sisters. Is there some kind of magical spell we can cast? Talk about wishful thinking.
