Is Kevin Hart Saying Goodbye to Comedy?
Posted On Apr 14, 2016
I hope you’re sitting down while reading this because I’m about to share some news that may break your heart.
Are you ready?
Kevin Hart may be done with comedy for good.
On Wednesday at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Hart said that he may be throwing in the towel for stand-up comedy.
“I don’t know if I’m ever going to go out and do it again,” Hart said while also saying that his What Now? Tour is his “last f**king tour.”
Hart is currently on his “What Now” tour which kicked off in the UK in January and began in the States on April 9th at the AT&T Center in San Antonio, California. This tour is said to be one of Hart’s biggest ventures yet as he is scheduled to appear in over 40 cities in the States and Canada between April and August.
Hart will also be gracing some of the most remarkable venues such as American Airlines Arena in Miami, Staples Center in Los Angeles, and Barclays Center in New York.
I guess we should have all taken a hint with the title of the tour being “What Now?” It’s safe to say that Hart may be moving on to the realm of the big screen as opposed to a big stage. We’ve already seen Hart’s great success in the film industry staring in movies like Ride Along, Get Hard, Wedding Ringer, and Think like a Man.
So not to worry, we’ll still be able to invite Kevin in our homes for a time filled with guaranteed laughter through the big screen. The truth is, Hart believes his purpose is to make people laugh, and when you know your purpose, there’s really no way you could ever just quit.
“I believe that laughter heals all wounds,” Hart said. “It’s a goal of mine to make people understand the power of laughter… I’m that person that you can laugh at.”
And we can’t wait to keep on laughing Kev!
