Lena Dunham is out of the hospital just two days after surgery following a ruptured ovarian cyst. The Girls star posted this to Instagram thanking her fans for the love. She added that the well wishes mean the world and she can’t wait to be up and active. She’s been honest about her health struggles in the 8th edition of her news letter. She noted she went undiagnosed all the way through college and into the production of the first season of her HBO show. Last month Dunham announced that she would not be doing press before the new season of Girls due to a severe flare up of her illness. She said it was time to rest. She added that most women with the disease don’t have the option to take time off. And she won’t take that for granted.
