Life of Pablo, No. 1 on the Billboards!
Posted On Apr 12, 2016
In 2005, Late Registration was no. 1 on the Billboard 200. Since then, the rest of his albums have been unstoppable. I mean, we wonder why people think he’s so arrogant. But, if all of my albums were No. 1 on the Billboard charts, I would be too.
Kanye West’s, Life of Pablo, scored No. 1 making it the seventh consecutive No. 1 album following Yeezus, Watch the Throne, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, 808s & Heartbreak, Graduation, and Late Registration.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most prevalent albums of the week based on album sales and streaming albums. Although the album’s tracks were not available for purchase separately, Life of Pablo scored No. 1 by its availability on streaming services and West’s and Tidal’s websites, resulting in 28,000 in album sales and 66,000 in streaming equivalent albums. This might not be his first No. 1 album, but it is the first album to debut on the billboards with the majority of its units caused by streaming equivalent albums.
Thank you to everybody who made The Life of Pablo the number 1 album in the world!!!
