No Bad Blood Between Beyoncé and Her Dad

Shortly after the release of her visual album, “Lemonade” on HBO, Beyoncé’s booty-shaking, hair-flipping, fabulous Formation tour kicked off and the vivacious superstar made it back to her hometown for a concert. And who happened to be in the audience at her Houston concert? None other than Bey’s dad, Mathew Knowles.

Beyoncé and her sister Solange have been estranged with their father ever since his affairs became public and brought forth several children.

However, looks like there is no bad blood because Bey’s mom, Tina Lawson, posted a picture of Beyoncé and Papa Knowles on Instagram dubbing her ex “proud dad” in the caption.

A picture says a thousand words, and Beyonce still looks like she is daddy’s little girl. Mr. Knowles also posed with younger daughter Solange and her son, Julez.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of the Knowles mending their once tight knit father-daughter relationship because every girl needs her papa.

Naturally, Queen B and papa Knowles got us feeling all sentimental and what not, so we took the liberty of asking some around what are the things many of us cherish most about our father-daughter relationships. Disclaimer – the answers will tug at your heartstrings.

“He was always my protector.” One of the girls shared how she always felt safe in her father’s arms and she had full confidence in knowing her dad genuinely cared for her well-being.

“Knight in shining armor.” Another colleague shared that her dad set her standards about how a man should treat a woman. She has been happily dating a wonderful man for the past year. Thanks pops!

“Unconditional support.” One of our more free-spirited colleagues shared that no matter how wild her dreams were, her dad was her biggest cheerleader and always believed she could accomplish all her endeavors.

“Practical Lessons.” Many women in the office shared the sentiment that their dads taught them practical lessons that empowered them and gave way to more independence. For instance, one of the girls proudly boasted her ability to change a tire, atta girl!

Go give your dad a hug.
