SJP Birthday Props

Today we celebrate one of our favorite Hollywood starlets who has taught us a thing or two about fashion, life, and sex! Sarah Jessica Parker turns 51 today so I wanted to show some love and discuss some of the ways SJP has impacted our lives. Her flare for fashion, sparky wit, and kindness go a long way both on and off the screen. Here are a few awesome things that SJP has given us…

Carrie Bradshaw

SJP Sex and the City 2

Obvi! One of the most iconic roles in television history was created when a spunky, curly-haired sex columnist swept through the streets of New York City, changing the fashion landscape (and our worldview of men) forever. She made wearing Jimmy Choo’s to the café a right-of-way, gold name plated necklace a must-have, and made everyone want to be a writer, cigarette in hand. Game changer, SJP.

The perfume I’ve had for over 10 years and counting. The people on my apartment complex floor know when I get off and on the elevator because they can smell me. It really is very lovely.

Hocus Pocus

Thank you kindly for the wildly funny witch that warmed our childhood hearts around Halloween time.  If it wasn’t for the dim-witted, blond Sanderson sister played by SJP, I’d never have learned the word “Amuck.”

Fabulous Met Gala Looks

Whether it’s vintage, couture or retro, SJP’s head-turning fashion has proved to be an art form every year at the Met Gala. She rocks the most glamorous of glam with poise and ease at every red carpet, sporting the best from couture Valentino to Alexander McQueen and beyond.

SJP was appointed a UNICEF Ambassador in 1997 and has since shown her support in a variety of ways. “My involvement with UNICEF is particularly important to me because it is UNICEF that introduced me to volunteerism, thereby helping me to set my own personal standard of contributing my time and giving back to others,” she said. “Working on behalf of UNICEF’s lifesaving efforts is one of my most valued roles.”

And just like that, we fall in love with SJP all over again. Happy Birthday Love!
