The Tupac Biopic is Happening!
Posted On Dec 29, 2015
Production is finally underway in Atlanta, Georgia for one of the most highly anticipated biopics chronicling the life and legacy of rapper Tupac Shakur. After much controversy surrounding the motion picture within the last few years, it has been revealed that newcomer Demetrius Shipp Jr. will portray the musical legend and acclaimed director Benny Boom will be steering the project.
Aptly titled after Shakur’s fourth studio album “All Eyez on Me,” it has been rumored, the film will revisit his early childhood, rise to fame as well as his tragic death in 1996, after succumbing to injuries sustained from gunshot wounds alongside the Las Vegas strip.
Although the official release date is unknown, music lovers from all walks of life are completely stoked about this project. Instagram timelines have been flooded with behind the scenes flicks and once the official announcement had been made that the film found its leading man, the Twitterverse buzzed with excitement. It’s safe to say the character’s striking resemblance to 2pac is what caused shockwaves throughout social media.
Following in the footsteps of one of this summer’s most critically and commercially successful films “Straight Outta Compton,” the film is set to be a huge hit! Hopefully, it will surpass everyone’s expectations and truly showcase the indelible talents, one-of-a-kind persona and the lyrical genius of Tupac Shakur. He was more than a rapper, he was a true revolutionary who redefined the status-quo, a leading pioneer among hip-hop and a visionary ahead of his time.
