Meet James Smith. James is the husband of a cop killed on 9/11 who returned his wife’s Woman of the Year award to Glamour after the magazine gave the same honor last week to Caitlyn Jenner.WTF: 9/11 Hero vs. Caitlyn

Moira Smith, who died at the age of 38 after rushing into the south tower, was honored by the magazine a month after her death in 2001.

James Smith told The Post he yanked the award off the shelf in his Long Island home dedicated to his wife, Moira, and FedExed it back to the magazine.

After Jenner was anointed last week, Smith told Glamour magazine’s editor to take the award and shove it.

“I was shocked and saddened to learn that Glamour has just named Bruce Jenner ‘Woman of the Year’. Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world, more deserving than this man?”

He goes on in disbelief, “At a time when we have women in the armed forces fighting and dying for our country, heroic doctors fighting deadly diseases, women police and firefighters putting their lives on the line for total strangers, brave women overcoming life threatening diseases .?.?. the list of possibilities goes on .?.?. is this the best you could do?”

My mind is blown. Please proceed Mr. Smith…

“It’s not that Glamour honored a transgender person,” James Smith told CNN. He supported Glamour’s decision to honor actress Laverne Cox in 2014. “As a New York City police officer, my precinct covered a shelter for transgendered youth,” Smith said via email. “On several occasions I responded there to take reports or give aid to suicidal youths. I listened to their stories of physical, emotional and sexual abuse. Young people thrown out of their homes or fleeing from unlivable conditions.”

“They didn’t have the luxury of being part of the Kardashian circus,” Smith wrote. “They weren’t living in a Malibu Barbie beach house surrounded by what passes for family in Hollywood. They were truly brave people fighting hourly for existence.”

“When Mr. Jenner said the hardest part about being a woman was figuring out what to wear, he proved to me that he is not truly a woman. I believe this comment and others he has made trivializes the transgender experience as I have witnessed it.”

He isn’t the only one blasting Caitlyn for the same comment.

Rose McGowan took to social media to voice (bitch out) her opinion on the matter. The 42-year-old Charmed actress slammed Jenner after the transgender reality star joked that the ‘hardest part about being a woman is figuring out what to wear’.

McGowan’s epic FB rants – which has since been deleted – has poked the Jenner/Kardashian beehive a little, maybe even set loose a swarm of stingers:

Rose McGowen

  • ‘Woman of the year? No, not until you wake up and join the fight. Not by a long f***ing shot.’
  • ‘Caitlyn Jenner you do not understand what being a woman is about at all. You want to be a woman and stand with us – well learn us. We are more than deciding what to wear. We are more than the stereotypes foisted upon us by people like you.’
  • ‘You’re a woman now? F***ing learn that we have had a VERY different experience than your life of male privilege.’

Daily Mail reported: McGowan also posted several memes that featured Jenner’s quote with images of women being sexually abused, being followed home late at night and a woman in the hospital after giving birth.

We have some pretty good indisputable points here.

God Bless Moira Smith, a true hero who led over a hundred bleeding people out of the World Trade Center, one after another, until the building collapsed and took her life. You are our Woman of the Year forever.
