Zendaya Joins Spider-Man Reboot in Leading Role

Actress, singer, dancer, Zendaya will join Tom Holland, who’s playing Peter Parker, in the Sony and Marvel Spider-Man reboot.

We hear that Zendaya is starring as Michelle, one of the female leads. There’s no other information available on the character, other than a claim that she is not the romantic interest for Peter Parker.  It’s unclear if Michelle is a friend, enemy, superhero, or an adaptation of a comic book character. We’ll just have to wait and see.

This is Zendaya’s first time on the big screen. She told New You that she’s afraid of not being perfect. She said, “Everyone is scared of something. For me, I’m a Virgo, so I’m a perfectionist and I am afraid of not being perfect; of things failing, or not doing as well as I think I should. That’s a constant battle that I have with myself because I hold myself to really high standards and I want to be so good. Sometimes I’m like dude, you’re only 19! Relax, stop overdoing it, and just breathe for a second. You’re doing really good, you’re on a roll here, stop stressing yourself out!”

Zendaya also shared with New You a few months ago that she would love to be in movies. Well her wish has come true! Zendaya, we think you rock and will definitely shine as Michelle in Spider-Man. Watch the exclusive interview below.

The plot details surrounding the movie are being heavily guarded. Jon Watts is set to direct the movie and it’ll be released on July 7, 2017.
