5 Home Remedies for Bruises

Have you ever woken up and asked yourself, when did all these bruises appear? And panic at the second you see them because now you can’t wear that gorgeous skirt you bought for the party you have this weekend!

We have all heard how ice packs, water, or even hot water can reduce the bruising, but the New You team did some research. We found 5 alternative, home remedies that you can use to reduce or remove completely those ugly purple bruises from your beautiful skin!

Eat LOTS Pineapple

The fruit contains a natural enzyme called bromelain. It so happens that bromelain can reduce the bruise. Ingesting 500mg of bromelain each day can reduce bruises at a fast pace.

Chocolate!

Yes, that creamy brown dessert that you so much desire every single day of your life can help with eliminating bruises. All you need to do is melt some chocolate and put the warm liquid on top of your bruise. Just like with hot water, the hot chocolate will prevent the blood from spreading more and will reduce the bruise immediately.

Onion Juice

This one might stink, but hey! When you have a hot date just two days away you will do anything to look your best right? Just extract some juice from the onion and apply it to the bruise. The vegetable contains antioxidant properties that will help reduce and eliminate the bruise. Just remember to wash away the stink! You won’t want to smell funky for your date!

Spoons

This one might sound odd, but it works! Place two steel spoons in the freezer for a couple of minutes but don’t go over 15 minutes. Place the cold spoons on top of your bruise and switch them out whenever they get warm again. The cold steel will help reduce the bruising.

Aloe Vera

The plant contains a gel inside that has numerous benefits. One of the benefits is that it helps reduce bruises. Cut a piece of the plant and extract the gel it contains inside and apply it to the bruise. It is always smart to have Aloe Vera in the house. You can use the plant or buy aloe vera gel from any drug store.

So there you have it! Hope some of these remedies alleviate the problem. Remember to save them because bikini season is around the corner and you don’t want to be the bruised girl at the beach!
