Bet You Didn’t Know You Could Do This With A Bobby Pin!

Bobby pins are one of the only beauty products that is always there when you need it. If you’re in a real pinch for a pin, there’s a mighty chance that you’ll be able to find one in your purse, on the floor, or in your car’s cup holder. They’re scattered everywhere in multiples. It’s as if a 90’s pinup vomited and we just haven’t found the time to clean up.
Anyway, here are seven genius ways to use the tiny hero that don’t involve bangs or prom up-dos.
If the toe post on your flip flops pops out, it’s not the end of the world nor is your beach day ruined. Fix it in a pinch with an item that’s probably laying at the bottom of your purse. To prevent the circular stopper from popping through the hole again, clip a bobby pin right above the stopper that sits on the bottom of the sandal.
Being stuck with a floppy belt end that doesn’t perfectly align with your pants’ belt loops is frustrating to say the least. Woo saa! There’s an easy fix for that unruly restraint. Just fasten the belt end down with a bobby pin.
Caution: You’re going to have to pin each pleat individually, so hopefully you’re not ironing a skirt full of tiny pleats. Anyway, the best way to press your pleats is to hold the waistband of the garment, pull the bottom of the first pleat, smooth it down, and hold it in place with a bobby pin. Repeat until all pleats are no longer crinkly.
As long as you use a dark-colored bobby pin and hide the rigid side, your favorite hair accessory can dupe as a DIY tie clip.
The tips of bobby pins are the prefect size to create tiny polka dots on your nails. Or you can take your mani a step further by creating a floral design. Dip the end of a bobby pin into your favorite nail polish and have fun!
Cherries are yummy and quite good for you, but spitting out the pit can make eating them a hassle. Fortunately, your handy dandy bobby pins are the perfect size to pit a cherry. Hold the bobby pin open and push both ends through making sure to one end is on each side of the pit. Push the bobby pin through the cherry bring the pit along with it.
Abort the gimmicky tube squeezer! Slide a bobby pin up the tube of toothpaste to push the contents to the top. You’ll get every last drop out of the container.
When it comes to versatility, you can count on the bobby pin.
