It eclipsed 70 degrees this past weekend in New York, so it’s officially time to start planning your favorite Summer looks. Growing up in South America, Summer was not an elusive season – it was blissful permanence. As I was fortunately gifted 365 days each year to perfect my summer style, I want to pass along some of the tips I’ve picked up along the way.
Heading into this season, I have selected an ensemble of some of my favorite items that can complement or elevate your Summer wardrobe:
Loveshackfancy for umm… everything: Hands down, this is my go-to designer for the summer, as they always incorporate an elevated balance of color and print. Without fail, I end up selecting at least 3 dresses every season that carry me through all my Mediterranean escapades…or just my winter blues.
Cult Gaia for my Cora wooden clutch: I’m obsessed with Cult Gaia! Jasmin Larian launched her brand with a signature bamboo bag that is both light and bound to attract compliments from passers-by. Honestly, though, Jasmin’s talents do not stop there – checkout any of her accessories, dresses or shoes, as well!
Gucci for my white loafers: These loafers, which I own in more than one color, upgrade an everyday look to get me from boardroom ready to happy hour cocktails. Plus, they are incredibly comfortable!
Lack of Color for my hay hat: This hat completes every outfit, providing both style and utility. Also, it reminds me of my childhood, where it was a fixture among women and girls on both the streets and beaches.
Your Favorite Boutique for a vintage gold bracelet: Whether you love classic tones or statement prints, jewelry – especially bracelets – provide everyone a fun opportunity to incorporate some subtle frivolity to your look. I found my bracelet in a small boutique in Florence last Summer. It’s both dainty – something I love for everyday jewelry – and gold, a perfect color to contrast to the glow of summer skin.
