It seems that every day we see or hear about another celebrity getting work done on their face. Model and actress Christie Brinkley, 61, opened up about her dabble in plastic surgery in an interview with the Daily Mail. She said, “Having Botox injected into my forehead was a disaster. Botox took the arch out of my eyebrows and made me look sad.” An un-arched eyebrow is a true tragedy, that nobody should have to endure.

Don’t fret, Ranjana Khan has the secret to keeping a sag-free face as you age: Facial Yoga. Yes, yoga, the holistic disciple that exercises the mind, body and also the face.

In her sample video, she gives us an exercise for under and around the eyes.

  1. Squint your eyes but keep your eyebrows raised
  2. Hold this for 10 counts without blinking, breathing evenly throughout your nostrils
  3. Repeat 5-10 times
  4. Rest your face by closing your eyes for 30 seconds

This is one of the many facial exercises that Ranjana instructs. The full-length instructional video includes six video segments including the forehead, eyes, cheeks, mouth, neck and the face as a whole.

Challenge yourselves to take 10 minutes out of your day and practice some of these facial yoga exercises. The best part, you can do them anywhere: at your desk, in your bed, even in the line at Starbucks. So sit back, find your breath and get those facial muscles moving.
