In true diva fashion, reports are running rampant that singer Mariah Carey has insured her legs and vocal chords for a cool $70 million. No big deal right! With an extremely successful tour as well as a Las Vegas residency under her belt the songstress has made yet another ballsy move to have her best assets insured at $35 million each (vocal chords/hamstrings).
Life is pretty unpredictable therefore if something were to happen to certain body parts of the 46-year-old chances are it would potentially result in a severe loss of profits. According to several sources, the monthly premium alone is a hefty penny but Mariah and company believe it’s worth it!
Perhaps this is the code of conduct in Hollywood because there are quite a few other celebs who have taken the necessary steps to register certain parts of their anatomy. Don’t believe us? Take a look for yourselves at a few entertainers that have allegedly gone down the same path as Mariah Carey. Is it a smart business move or a peculiar trend in Hollywood? Well, we will let you be the judge of that!
Julia Roberts infectious smile is reportedly worth $30 million.
Aquafresh decided to protect their client, America Ferrara’s larger than life smile for an estimated $10 million.
The material girl’s bosom is rumored to carry a $2 million price tag. Cha-Ching!
Throughout the years, the Barbadian princess, Rihanna, has definitely put in “werk” when it comes to her super sculpted hamstrings. Previously the 28-year-old confirmed to People, “I work with a trainer. We work on the arms. I don’t want manly, muscular arms. We work out my butt because I love my butt. [But] my legs are my main focus. I’m obsessed.” Well, hard-work pays off, especially if you’re Rihanna with a pair of million dollar legs!
Back in the day, Bette Davis’s waistline was insured for $28,000 big ones. Although it seems like pennies in comparison to modern day policies, let’s just say Ms. Davis was definitely ahead of her time. The wartime stars’ contract included getting money back if she gained weight that extended beyond what traditionally was considered corset-safe. In other words, if she gained a little weight in her teeny tiny waist, no big deal because she would be properly compensated. Well played, Bette Davis, well played.
Dolly Parton’s tater-tots (and we don’t mean food) are priced at $600,000.
The queen Tina Turner is known for her killer legs which equal big bucks! $3.2 million to be exact.
We are not quite sure which leg is worth more than the other but according to Heidi Klum during an Extra interview she stated, “Basically, I was in London, and I had to go to this place where they check out your legs. They would look at them and I had one scar here from when I fell on a glass, so this [leg] isn’t as pricey as this one.” One thing we do know for sure is the total value for Klum’s legs are $2 million.
