Three simple ways to alleviate acne

Isn’t it always at the most inconvenient times when a pimple [or two] magically appears in the worst places? As quickly as they pop-up, these pesky flare-ups can be eliminated just the same. Instead of splurging on several beauty products to slather on your face in hopes of eliminating acne, have you ever considered DIY? If you’re ready to zip and zap your pimples into oblivion with cost-effective alternatives, then take a look at these simple measures.

Tomatoes: Who knew that this delectable, juicy red fruit could be used as a go-to zit remedy? Tomatoes are filled with antioxidants that can serve as a skin astringent. For the best results, slice it open and smooth the juice over the blemished area once or twice a day depending upon your skin’s sensitivity.

Garlic:  No one can deny the aromatic smell of a garlic clove. However, did you know that garlic is jam-packed with antimicrobials as well as healing effects that are perfect for zit zapping? After peeling a garlic clove and mashing it well, apply the juice onto your skins surface for 20 minutes. As a precaution, complete a patch test on a small area of the skin in order to monitor your pigmentation’s response.

Green Tea Ice Cubes: Green tea consists of both anti-inflammatory and astringent resources that will help soothe and alleviate skin inflammation. To get started, pour green tea into an empty ice cube tray. Once frozen, rub one of the ice cubes over the affected area 2-3 times a day and “Wah-lah,” zit be gone!
