Leonor Greyl

Gone are the days of poofy down-dos and slicked back ponytails held impenetrably in place by rock-solid hair spray. We are now living in the age of down-dos with volume and loose up-dos held flexibly and softly in place.

I selected Leonor Greyl styling spray for volume and hold because I am a huge fan of their Huile de Palme and love this brand’s dedication to natural ingredients wherever possible. I was confident that it could boost my lifeless locks while allowing them to retain their naturally soft texture.

The directions for use are two fold: You can spray it onto dry or damp hair prior to placing curlers, wait five minutes, remove the curlers, and then set the hair in place with another coat. This sounds great in theory, but curlers have always intimidated me, so that review will have to wait for another day and another blog (when I’m feeling confident).

Or you can spray it onto damp hair prior to drying. This promises to protect the hair from the perils of heated styling and produce beautifully voluminous locks. I went with this option and was delighted with the results. My hair was full, free, and flowing and remained in place for the entire day.
