Make the Switch to Natural Deodorant
Posted On Jun 24, 2015
Let’s face it- during this brutal summer heat, we always make sure to carry our deodorant around with us at all times. The temperature is practically unbearable and makes us start sweating the second we step into that burning sunshine.
However, the aluminum and other chemicals found in the majority of antiperspirants are dangerous to our bodies. So we decided to find a natural deodorant that actually works and keeps us smelling fresh the entire day.
That’s when we came upon Reset Yourself Pure Deodorant, made using only coconut oil, baking soda, arrowroot, and beeswax. This all natural deodorant fights off summertime sweat without skin clogging chemicals. Because we fell in love with it right away, we decided to reach out to the experts of Reset Yourself for answers to some of our burning questions.
What makes this deodorant stand apart from other natural deodorants?
The fact that it actually works! We created this deodorant out of desperation. Co-founder, Michele, tried just about every single one available in the market. However, she could not find a single one that worked and decided to create her own. This formula really works for all three kinds of sweat odor (caused by overheating, exercise or stress.) It’s been tested on various sweaty types from hot yoga enthusiasts to beefy factory workers and in various climates (such as US, Hong Kong, Philippines, Holland).
What would be the best way to use the deodorant for maximum benefit?
Apply on dry skin after your shower or bath. Because Pure Deodorant does NOT contain chemical lubricants, please allow it to warm up against your armpit for a couple of seconds and then GENTLY swipe – your body heat will ensure smooth application.
** If you have a history of sensitive skin, please do a patch test by applying a small amount in the crook of your arm for 3 days prior to using. We also suggest waiting a few hours after shaving to apply the deodorant, if you experience skin sensitivity after shaving.
Would the deodorant create any stains on clothing?
Pure Deodorant should not cause stains. To avoid product from transferring to clothing, just make sure to wait a couple of minutes before dressing so that the product is fully absorbed. Also, there is no need to apply too much product. One or two will do to keep you smelling fresh all day. (If product does transfer to clothing, it washes off).
Can men use it?
Yes! We have quite a number of men using Reset Yourself Pure Deodorant. They like that the smell is not overpowering when applied.
Why is aluminum antiperspirant/deodorant so harmful?
Aluminum is a neurotoxin that has been linked to memory loss, dementia and Alzheimer’s. Studies have also shown it may increase the risk of developing breast cancer. Just think, this is a product many people use daily.
