Miracle Hair Oils

For years, we’ve taken pride in filling up our cabinets with hair products that most likely didn’t give us the results we expected, but there’s a solution to all our hair problems that doesn’t include spending our entire paycheck: Natural Oils.

You don’t always have to buy high-end deep conditioners and fancy hair masks to get healthy and moisturized hair. In the same way natural products can be used to rejuvenate your skin; natural oils should be used to revive dull and damaged hair.

When it comes on to incorporating natural oils in your hair regimen, it’s important to ensure that the oils are pure and completely natural. Remember one of the major reasons to use oils is to cut out the excess hair product and unnecessary ingredients that you’re currently using.

You can apply the oils directly on your scalp, or as a deep treatment which you can do weekly.

There are tons of different natural oils that serve different purposes and lead to different results. Therefore, it’s important to know the specific need of your hair in order to get the correct oil.

Luckily, we’ve rounded up our top picks below:

  • Coconut Oil:

We all know that coconut oil is a must have for pretty much anything. Coconut oil does everything from removing make-up to healing dry skin. It’s no surprise that it works wonders for our hair as well. Coconut oils are filled with vitamin E, protein, mineral, and other vitamins which are a sure way to keep your hair healthy and moisturized. It also stimulates hair growth and thickness.

  • Olive Oil:

The same olive oil that you cook with can be used to repair damaged hair. If you hair has become brittle and dry due to excess heat, this vitamin A and E enriched oil can reverse the damage, and create healthy, shiny locks.

  • Avocado Oil:

Avocado oil is great for protecting your hair against damage. It’s just as light-weight as coconut oil, and is packed with nutrients and vitamins A, D, and E. Avocado oil will absorb into your hair without leaving t too greasy, and is great for hair growth, and achieving thickness as well.

  • Castor Oil:

I first heard about castor oil a few years ago when there was a shared interest among many people who wanted their hair to grow. One of the major benefits of castor oil is that it stimulates your scalp which promotes hair growth. Castor oil is full of fatty acids which you can use on your scalp to regrow healthy hair, or on the ends to lock in moisture and prevent split-ends.

  • Argan Oil:

While argan oil tends to be more on the pricey side, the benefits are amazing and worth every penny. Argan oil is from the argan tree in Morocco and is filled with protein, vitamin E, and good fatty acids. It’s great for repairing colored hair damage and it also replenishes the moisture in frizzy, coarse, and dry hair.

Which oil is your all-time favorite? We’d love to know!
