Nail Polish That Tastes Like Chicken?
Posted On May 10, 2016
KFC is taking the tagline “finger licking good” to a whole new extreme, and we’re not sure how we feel about it. The company is launching two limited-edition, flavored nail polishes to endorse their food in Hong Kong.
Ogilvy & Mather worked with McCormick, the company that makes KFC’s secret chicken spice mix, to curate the nail polishes for KFC Hong Kong. The lacquers are inspired by two of the fried chicken fast food chain’s most popular recipes: “Original” and “Hot & Spicy.”
“To use, consumers simply apply and dry like regular nail polish, and then lick — again and again and again,” the brand explained in a statement.
So yes, it tastes like chicken and it brings a whole new meaning to chicken fingers. Despite the odd concept, the colors are actually appealing. I’ll take the original-flavored color ftw – its sandy-nude tone is the epitome of spring and summer!
The products aren’t widely available just yet, but one of the flavors will be mass produced based on a consumer vote.
