Netflix Star Maria Camila Giraldo Shares Her Beauty Routine

Colombian actress Maria Camila Giraldo is making a splash on Netflix for her roles in “The Queen of the South” and “The Queen of the Flow,” two of the most successful Latin shows on Netflix. Plus, she’s currently filming the upcoming Netflix biopic miniseries “Griselda,” co-starring Sophia Vergara. And before that, she was the host of MTV News, a contestant on Colombia’s Next Top Model, and a model for Adidas, H&M, and Tiffany & Co. She was also just announced as the new face of Pam & Gela, a line of casual chic apparel that’s relaunching after being acquired by leading international supply chain platform IBrands Global. So, the star is bound to know a thing or two about a solid beauty routine. We caught up with her as part of this announcement to determine how she maintains that effortless glow.

Maria Camila Giraldo’s Beauty Routine

“This is one of my hobbies, so I can really expand on this one,” says Maria. “Long story short, my beauty routine consists of my diet, lifestyle, and products.”

Meditation: “Everything starts in the morning,” she says. “I wake up at 6 am, drink warm lime water to get my digestive system going (which helps to have healthier skin), and head straight into my meditation. Managing stress is key to overall health.”

Exercise: “I also exercise and alternate my workouts,” adds Maria. “Sometimes I run, other times I go to pilates, and other days I go to hot yoga. It all increases blood flow, which helps nourish the skin cells and keep them vital.”

Diet: “I eat lots of greens and antioxidant foods,” says Maria. “Lots of salads, berries, and salmon.”

Products: “I believe that a beauty routine must be holistic,” she says, “That’s why I’ve created my own brand Selvaia and developed a well-rounded routine with my business partner that includes: 1. A collagen Elixir that has all the ingredients our skin needs to be naturally hydrated in an oral supplement; 2. A facial Potion that has a single daily dose of every key nutrient for the skin, and 3. Seeds, a product made up of probiotics, are key to protecting our skin from being constantly exposed to physical, chemical, bacterial, and fungal challenges.”

“I’ve come to understand that it’s more than just products, as you can see,” says Maria. “I’ve also fallen more in love with it and have had lots of fun researching what supplements I can take and new natural things I can try.”
