Summer Hair Care Tips

While we’re all looking over our shoulder for summertime to turn the corner, it’s important to recognize the damage that the sun can have on us, and, in particular, our hair. Laying on the beach baking in the sun may be great for a tan but the sun can have negative effects on our hair if we don’t take care of it the right way.
New You teamed up with Brock Beauty once again to share some top tips on how to protect you hair this season:
Get your beauty bible out!
- As much as we dislike taking vitamins, hair vitamins need to be taken regularly to ensure that you’re getting the proper nutrients to promote healthy hair from the inside out. Can you say HAIRINFINITY?
- After hair becomes brittle and dried out from sun bathing, make sure to use a moisture based leave-in conditioner that will bring back the necessary moisture to your hair.
- While chlorine may kill the germs in the pool, it can have harmful effects on our hair if left in it for too long. Ensure to rinse your hair each time you go in a chlorine-filled pool to wash out the chemicals.
- One of the most important steps to protecting our hair from heat is to put back as much moisture in it as possible. Therefore, it’s important to find a shampoo and conditioner that you can use regularly to reverse any heat damage and replenish the moisture your hair needs.
