Target Nails It with Reality Show Inspired Polish
Posted On Jan 07, 2016
I think I missed my calling when Target recently decided to launch a reality show-inspired nail polish line. With colors like Toddlers and Tiaras (baby pink), Tribal Counsel (khaki-nude) and The Final Rose (red), this is just another reason for me to scour through Target’s endless goodies, Starbucks in hand.
The line will launch on January 17 with 38 shades of 5-free polish, plus a basecoat and a topcoat. Not only is it fun, but it’s a green choice as well. 5-free polish has eliminated the use of five known carcinogens (formaldehyde, dibutyl phthalate, toluene, formaldehyde resin, and camphor). Woot! Plus it’s reasonably priced at $7.49 a pop.
I wish I could’ve been a fly on the wall when Target’s branding team was picking these names. There is an incredible nod to Bachelor Nation, not to mention some serious throwbacks and fan favorites. We’ve rounded up the MVP’s:
Toddlers and Tiaras (baby pink)
Newlyweds (a bubble-gum pink)
Made (a muted coral)
Bachelorette and Bachelor (pink and cornflower blue)…
Rose Ceremony and The Final Rose (both reds), Girls Tell All (another bubble-gum pink), and Fantasy Suite (a midnight blue)
The Hills (a punchy coral)
Laguna Beach (ocean blue)
You’re Fired (a classic red)
Tribal Counsel (a khaki-nude)
Simple Life (pastel purple)
Make It Work (a pretty teal)
Well played Target.
