With six Grammy Awards, having sold more than 150 million records, and six number one albums, the Eagles were the kings of Los Angeles’ 70s rock scene and undoubtedly were one of the best bands of all time. So, with heavy hearts, we say goodbye to one of its founding members, Glenn Frey. Frey died on Monday in New York City. He was 67.
For several weeks, Frey had been fighting complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. A fight well fought, but Glenn’s death has left millions of fans worldwide brokenhearted.
Let’s keep Frey’s legacy alive with a list of the Eagles’ top hits:
Hotel California (1976), undoubtedly the Eagles’ best single…”Such a lovely place…” We are sure Glenn is in a much lovelier place now.
Take It Easy (1972)
Tequila Sunrise (1972)
New Kid in Town (1972)
Already Gone (1974)
Glenn, we thank you for all you did for the music community, your memory lives on. Rest in peace.
