The Art of Elysium Heaven Gala
Posted On Jan 11, 2016
Awards season is in full swing out in Los Angeles. On Golden Globes eve, many celebrities attended the 9th annual Art of Elysium Heaven Gala with Vivienne Westwood and her husband and design partner Andreas Kronthaler. The Art of Elysium is dedicated to bringing creativity and inspiration to children, artists, hospital youth, and several populations in need of service and support. New You caught up with some of the celebrities in attendance to ask them why this iconic fashion designer is still so relevant today.
Blood and Oil Star Amber Valletta said Vivienne Westwood remains relevant because she’s a “punk at heart.” The beauty wore a stunning gold dress but couldn’t remember who’s it is. (Red Carpet uh-oh!) But Amber said as long as your comfortable and wear something that photographs well, that’s all that matters.
Actress Camilla Belle who looked great in a pink-collared, white and black ensemble said the Vivienne Westwood, “is just a funky woman. You see her and she exudes coolness.” When asked who she was rooting for a Golden Globe win? The Revenant, she replied, and boy did they clean up last night!
Mad Men’s Christina Hendricks shared what she looks for in a red carpet gown- whimsy, drama, femininity, and breaking the rules a little bit, and Vivienne does all those things. But the rule-breaking, busty Christina did not rock one of her famous looks for the Golden Globes. Her surprising Golden Globes plans were popcorn, pajamas, and her couch.
Lastly New You spoke with That 70’s Show’s Topher Grace, who although is not a fashionista, is a big Vivienne Westwood fan. Topher is very involved with the charity and really loves the Art of Elysium. Topher’s goal for 2016 is to check out New You!
One takeaway from chatting with all these great celebrities? Seems like they all agree on one thing- 74-year-old Vivienne Westwood is one funky, punky, cool woman!
