America is no place to grow old, says actress Kim Cattrall. The 54-year-old siren, know for her role in Sex in the City, is in a new film about an aging porn star, “Meet Monica Velour.” In an interview with Canada’s Psychologie magazine, Cattrall (who grew up in Canada) says she did the film to portray what women have to go through as they age. One of those experiences is scorn: “I think the scrutiny of women is obscene,” she told the magazine. “If you don’t do anything, you’re like an old hag; and if you do, you’re a plastic surgeon ‘victim’.” Cattrall called America’s negative attitude toward aging women who use cosmetic surgery to look younger to be ‘cruel.’
