andy grammer and wife expecting baby girl and claim “no sugar” is the way to go

Andy Grammer and wife Aijia were nothing but smiles at the BMI Pop Awards in Los Angeles. The pair had a lot to be happy about, with baby number one on the way and this being Andy’s third year at the awards. Aijia was giving enthusiastic fist pumps to show support for her husband. You might recognize Andy for his popular song “Honey, I’m Good” which peaked at number nine on the Billboard Top 100. The Los Angeles native started writing songs at 15 and left for New York at age 20 where he was rejected from an acapella group, and promptly returned to L.A. The rejection clearly didn’t stop him. He was able to open for Natasha Bedingfield and Colbie Caillat earlier in his career, as well as compete on Dancing with the Stars more recently. His latest single “Fresh Eyes” was released last year and Andy confirmed he is working on the album and will hopefully be touring in the near future. The couple is expecting a little girl in July, the crazy part is, the duo has given up sugar. Yes, you heard that right, sugar. His wife said, “we’re off the sugar train right now” and Andy confirmed it saying, “but as soon as you stop having sugar, you feel freaking awesome!” It’s easy to grab a pack of candy when you hit the afternoon standstill but maybe Andy and his wife are on to something. Andy admits that it’s very hard for him, but it makes all the difference in the world. Keep in mind Aijia is pregnant! She was happy to tell NEW YOU, “We’re just doing honey and maple syrup. It’s hard but I feel great.” That’s coming from the pregnant lady folks. Andy and Aijia have a lot of reasons to believe it’s good to be alive and so do all of us here at NEW YOU.
