CARAH FAYE ANNOUNCES UPCOMING SOLO DEBUT ALBUM
Posted On May 10, 2017
Carah Faye is brimming with excitement at the release of her first solo debut album in about four months. “Some of these songs I have been sitting on for about 2 years,” said the talented singer/songwriter. “The key words are epic, timeless and a little urban which is unlike what I have done in the past. It is excitingly fresh for me!” Her main musical influences were Elle Fitzgerald, Etta James and Nancy Sinatra. Her grandfather, Arnold Moselle, a World War II fighting captain and vocalist for The Nightingales, used to sing lullabies to her, including Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole songs. “Nat King Cole is my number one singer I draw inspiration from – his tone just does something to me,” said Faye. “I think anyone can sing but you are born with a tone.”NEW YOU caught up with Faye at the 65th Annual BMI Pop Awards event on Tuesday in Los Angeles. She is currently the lead female vocalist of the band, Shiny Toy Guns, with whom she scored a Grammy nomination. When it comes to health, Faye is all about listening to your body. “If your hair is dry or your skin is dry, look up what your body is lacking,” she implored. “Everything comes down to nutrition.” We agree.
