JANE SEYMOUR SAYS YOUR BODY IS LIKE A CAR AND NEEDS CARE

Jane Seymour describes the body as a car by saying it has to be fed and looked after just as you would a car. The actress was talking about how she keeps herself healthy and said her ultimate message was one of charity. “It is important to not think just about yourself, but to find a purpose and passion in life,” she said. NEW YOU caught up with Seymour at the American Ballet Theater Holiday Benefit last night in Los Angeles. When asked what she loved about the ballet, Seymour was quick to point out that she was a ballet dancer herself. “I was in the Nutcracker since I was thirteen years old, first as Ginger and then as one of the fighting mice,” she said. “A year later, I danced with the Kirov Ballet at Covent Gardens in both Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella and while I was there their principal dancer, Natalia Makarova, defected after the show.” When describing her “Open Heart” Jewelry line, Seymour said the idea came from two dancing hearts. “When your heart is open, love will find its way into your heart – if your heart is closed you will just suffer in silence,” she said. And the message her mother gave to her? “When you go through a challenge in life and you find the time to reach out to others you will find someone worse off than you and by helping that someone else, you then have purpose and love will come into your life and solutions to your problems.” True words of wisdom.
